Last week he left me, his 4 month pregant wife, and his only 2 yr old son to move in with her. They got a new apartment together. We have been together for 7 yrs. He keeps saying he made a mistake and wants to move back home and make things work but hasn't spent a night at home yet. Will he really end his affair and come back to us? __________________

Anonymous	# Posted: 25 Aug 2008 17:22 Reply If he does, would you even want him back? My sense is that he will ask you back, but he won't be the same man as he was before. And you won't be the same woman as before. You both will have alot of trust issues to work out,and if you can work through the years of counseling and still stay together, then I say its worth it. Chances are he will resist the counseling because he will try to take his guilt out on you and make the affair appear as if it is your fault so he can go out and have another one if you end up being bitter and resentful of him. Don't let his guilt push you around, and be firm about going to counseling with you. He may also bribe you when he first gets back with you and say he will do anything to make it work, but say he doesn't need counseling because he really learned his lesson. That's hogwash. Any man who cheats on a woman, and the woman takes him back, thinks he can do it again and get away with it in the future if times get tough. Stay strong and be your own woman. Take your time with this issue and know that even with a kid, you can always survive without him and a better man will want to love you and your kid. Good luck! __________________
